What is the name of your state? New York Earlier this week my boyfriend was involved in a hit and run. His car got rear ended and no one saw anything. He had 2 passsengers in the car a friend and a friend of a friend. Now the friend of a friend is threatening to sue him. I s he liable even though he's the one that was hit. What should he do? At the time of the accident everyine was fine, the friends even took the bus to their halfway house. We suspect he's just looking for a quick way to make money. Any suggestions? Thanks

At this point, he is just making a claim and not of concern. However, if you get a letter from an attorney, he needs to turn it over to HIS insurance.

Your 'halfway house boyfriend' does have insurance.... right??

Yes he does have insurance and by the way he doesn't live in a halfway house his friend does.
