What is the name of your state? Florida
Our car was involved in an accident. The other driver was at fault and issued 2 citations (driving on a suspended license and no proof of insurance). It seems to us that Allstate (the other car's ins) is dragging their feet. Accident occurred 3 weeks ago and Allstate has only yesterday mailed a letter to a witness, and has yet to go look at what's left of our car. Does it usually take this long to investigate? I totalled my own car about 10 years ago and it took my old insurance company less than a week to do their investigation. Thank you in advance.

You need to report the accident to your own insurance company and let your agent call Allstate.

Allstate called my hubby at work this morning. Investigation is done, and our car is indeed totalled. Now we're just waiting to see how much they are going to pay.
