ecmst12,

I have a question about the bodily injury claim for the same accident. My total medical bills added up about $1500. I sent them to the adjuster dealing with body injury claims a week ago. She got back to me today and offered me $2000. Do you think this is a reasonable amount based on your experience or I can ask for more? Thank you.

Ah, e, thanks for the kind words - now can you find a way to lift the six-month-after-repair jinx?

I doubt a paint job would be anywhere in the Land Cruiser's future. Heck, I do good to wash it a couple of times a year. Do you know what we call people with clean cars? City people.... (I guess you have to live in the boonies to appreciate the humor.)

Sounds like you had an ER visit with x-rays, maybe some meds, no follow up?

I only felt minor pain in the neck after the accident so I did not go to ER. Two days later the pains in my neck and shoulder were getting worse. So I went to the student health center to see a doctor. The doc said I should go to a spine center to get the X-ray just to be safe. I went to the spine center and the results showed no bone fracture. The doctor recommended me to go see a physical therapist. I went to physical therapy three times and am feeling a lot better now. I did not get the rental until one week after the accident so I had to bike to the hospital. I still did not get the check from the insurance company for my totaled car because I just sent them those car repair receipts. They took away the rental a week ago so I had to go back to biking in this hot summer (95 degree in GA). Are they going to factor those in for pain and suffering?
BTW, thank you for your advice on mentioning my recent car repairs to the adjuster. She said she will add those to the value of my car.

No, those things don't have anything to do with pain and suffering. Your injuries were EXTREMELY minor. You might be able to squeeze a little more out of the adjuster, but not a lot.
