How to proceed answering a complaint?

What is the name of your state? Nevada. Have been served with a summons with instructions to reply within 20 days. Issue involves alleged property damage. I was involved in auto accident which resulted in minor damage to property. Property owner proceeded to get a ridiculous estimate paid by his ins. company. They have now filed suit for amount not covered on my auto policy(in exess of 10k). Approx. how much should I expect to pay to have a 'answer to a complaint' filed by a attorney? Could I do this myself? If so, how? It's been approx. two years since the accident and I'm wondering if this is just a last ditch attempt by the carrier to collect and they're hoping I don't answer this summons. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I think that there is too much money involved here for you to risk doing this without an attorney.
