i had to have back surgery after the accident, i settled for a amount of money(my lawyers advise) and still after 5 years i am still having back problems that are due to the car accident. My medical bills are sky high and also after the accident i had to go on disability (SSDI) My question is Can i receive further compensation from the person or his insurance company after (on my lawyers advice) the case was settled? i hope this will make my situation clearer. thank you

When you settled, you gave up all your rights in this matter so the case cannot be reopened.
