its been roughly a yr now that i hav been without my license due to a dui (i kno liv and learn) but regardless i should be given the privilege of driving in a few months but my past has come bak to haunt me ive been to court and pleaded guilty for a speed competition charge that i recieved like a yr before the dui. the person i raced had a minor wreck with a car in front of him. therefore i recieved a bill for 5,400 dollars from the fellow racers insurance company saying i contributed to the accident. i ofcorse was uninsured and they tell me i cant get my license until i pay. in my eyes it seems to be a bit unfair because i wasnt blocking his car in (even tho thats what the police report said) and my car didnt make contact with anything. personally i believe that the bill was locked in ever since i pleaded guilty to the charge. but if there is a way that i can get this reduced or fight this it would be awsome.thanks for any help.

You can try negotiating with the driver's license folks, but with your record, I cannot offer you much hope.

i mean would it be worth it to try and get it reduced or simply suck it up and pay it in full
