    Injured while in jail

I have a friend in state jail in Texas that had 2 of her fingers amputated while being trained as a butcher. When asked why reattachment was not attempted she was told she had no right to get her fingers reattached because she was an inmate. Can this possibly be true? Does someone lose that kind of right when they are incarcerated. The story gets worse including withholding antibiotics etc. Attempts have been made to find a lawyer to sue the state for this but with no luck so far.

Looking for a few answers and any other help.

    Thanks

Seriously, do you really think most people care?

Your friend is in jail because she is an Dumb LOSER.

If she had any brains at all, she probably would not be in jail, and would NOT be training to be a butcher, she would be in college getting her degree.

See what dropping out of school, and living in a trailer can do to your life?

**A: in the olden days, English law was followed and if a prisoner was beheaded, he/she had no right to a reattachment. Texas may be following the old English law.
