Injury calculation

Florida. If the result of an auto accident, rear ended, triggers a condition such as Rheumatoid Arthritis as stated by a doctor, how is the injury calculated if medication relieves the symptoms. However, the medication affects the liver adversly so continued use is not likely. The result of discontinuing the medication is complete disability in joints of all extremities. RA is a life long disease. Thanks
