I live in Georgia. We were involved in a no fault(of ours) accident in Oct. 2000. We took our car in for repairs Dec. 26th. It is now Jan 23 and we still do not have our car.
The auto body shop said they had to wait for the insurance adjusters to come out for additional unseen repairs and now that the insurance company has come out, for the past week the body shop keeps telling us (tomorrow). We can not afford a rental car even though the insurance company said we were allowed approximately $20 a day. The insurance company, when told we could not afford it, said that they can pay us $10 a day. We didn't get any of this in writing and so that leaves us without a car and/or compensation.
1. Do you have any suggestions on how we can go about getting compensated for the month we've been out of our vehicle?
2. What is your advice on handling the auto body shops' (tomorrows)?
THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME.
