Dear Free Advice Forum,
My cousin was in a car accident in Feb. 2003. She hit a
patch of ice and her car slid off the road, crashing into a large
tree trunk. Her car was totaled and 2 bones were broken in her
leg. The bones have healed in her leg, but she still has to use a
walker or a cane to help her get around. She has about $12,000
in medical bills (she does not have health insurance), and she
told me that the only money that she has received from her
insurance company is the property damage settlement for her
car, which is about $5000. We were wondering if her insurance
company is supposed to give her any money to pay her medical
bills with. She had full coverage insurance.
Sincerely,
Lionesswood

Have your cousin call her insurance adjuster and ask that person. We do not have her insurance policy available to see if she is covered.
