Insurance company wants to open medical case

What is the name of your state (WA)? I was hit in a parking lot while parked car turned off. At the time I did not think I was hurt so when contacting the guys insurance company I said I was not. However by that night I was experiencing back pain however I was leaving on a cruise that night. When I got on the ship I started having problems. I called the insurance company when I got back and they asked if I was sure it was related. When the claim person came out for the car she asked if I was fine now. I told her I wasnt sure I had not been able to see the doctor yet as my symptoms included blood in urine. She told me that couldnt be related and that they needed to open a medical file and I had to see their doctor? I did see a doctor and I have a pinched nerve. Now I also have cancer and one of my tumors is on the adrenal glands which is kidney and the accident could have upset that tumor which caused the blood. I already battle doctor bills as I capped my life time benefit for my insurance and if this accident is going to add more bills do I really have to see the insurance company doctor and not my own? That seems crazy to me. My doctors know me best.

If you want the insurance company to accept that your injuries are related to the accident (and yes, aggravation of a pre-existing condition counts as related to the accident), then you will need to let them inspect your medical records and submit to their independent medical evaluation (which they should pay for).

You can be Compleately denied any medical if you do not submit to their doctors. No big deal if you are really hurt.
