Insurance law- Va - Used parts?

What is the name of your state? Virginia

In the state of Virginia, what are the requirements for recycled/used parts to be used in a repair? My understanding was that the part had to be the same year or newer and similar condition for it to qualify as like kind and quality. I dont see any specifics in the Code of Virginia 38.2-510. I'm in body shop management and I dont have the ability to argue by analogy in court everytime I repair a vehicle. That said, I'm looking for something concrete. A court case or code that has set the standard.
