Insurance skyrockett

YOUR STATE NAME - Texas, First on 3-29-00, I had a wreck at an uncontrolled intersection (no speeding) my insurance paid and the price stayed the same it was filed (at fault) on my part even though the other party had no insurance and did not recieve a citation. Then on 12-28-00, We had an ice strom and the roads were bad. as I was traveling at night across a bridge there were animals(racoons) on the bridge. I slid on the ice and down the side of an incline. Costing 7,000 dollars in damage to my 96 dodge avenger. My insurance paid and continued to service me until 6/01 and then said they would not renew my insurance. They filed my claim under comp and collision. My insurance for 3 cars has gone from $171 to $383.90 this is a drastic jump for me. Is this correct or should they have filed my claim under weather related?
