What is the name of your state? New Jersey

In 1995 I registered and insured a vehicle for my sister. She was in a car accident 1 month after the insurance lapsed for lack of payment.

The passengers(2) sued the state and now I have a judgement against me for $37,855.77. At the time of the accident she used my name as the driver of the vehicle.

Is there anything I can do?
