In 2003 I was a passenger of a car that was hit by a drunk driver. I was hurt very badly. I got a lawyer to get the proper amount from the insurance company and to take care of the medical bills. He claimed to have done just that and sent me a check for $15,000 of the $50,000 awarded. Now in 2008 I was served with papers because Im being sued by the hospital for that wreck. Can I sue the lawyer for misrepresentation or for not doing what I paid him $35,000 for? What do I do? |
