Liability


What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? PA
Scenario: driving to work alongside a semi heavily traveled roadway. a farmer has his corn field only 10 feet or so off side of road. corn is past harvest time. its 5:50 am. Big doe comes busting out of cornfield, collision is unavoidable. Truck strikes deer causes more than a thousand dollars damage. Did I mention its at the beginning of the rut? i.e. when bucks are chasing does to make next years herd.. My question is, can the farmer be held accountable for not cutting his corn knowing the seasonWhat is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

Absolutely not, not even a little bit, under any circumstances. Even if there is a law stating corn must be cut to a certain height at a certain time of year, which I doubt, no one can be held responsible for the actions of a wild frikkin animal. You should have had better insurance.
