Liability issue help needed

What is the name of your state? Washington

My wife is being sued for a car wreck she was in before we were married and while she was still married to her Ex-husband. If she loses the case can they come after me for my assets becasue I am married to her now?

Possibly, especially anything acquired after your marriage. Has she contacted her insurance company that she had at the time of the accident to obtain legal representation?

yes she is already being represented. I jsut wanted to know from a personal standpoint. I am looking for a house but would be understandibly upset if I lost it due to something I had no involvement in.
