Liability query

Hello there.

I wonder if anyone can help me with this.

My Father works for the Social Services as a care worker, where he is responsible for collecting Handicapped clients with his own vehicle.

However. A problem arises with regards the insurance for the car.

My Father picks up the clients and takes them to one of two local centres, and is required to us his car to transport them to various locations during work hours.

My query is regarding the Insurance, and the liability in the event of an accident.

Will normal Vehicle Insurance, i.e. Fully comprehensive or Third Party Fire and Theft, cover him for any incident involving my father and the transporting of clients?

What, if any, legal considerations do we need to take in order to avoid problems arising from this situation.

Thank you for any help with this.

My response:

Did you read the instructions in the BIG red words at the top of this page? "U.S. LAW - ONLY."

Many apologies, but litigation is fairly similar surely.

No need to be so touchy either.

My response:

No one, least of all me, is being "touchy". The fact is, U.S. Law can vary greatly from the laws of foreign nations - - regardless of how similar "litigation" might be.

We would be doing you a great disservice to you if we discussed this matter with you, and our discussion lead you down the wrong path.

Thank you very much for your response.

My apologies for wasting your time on this matter.

Was basically looking to bounce ideas around and get a rough idea of the possible problems involved.

Thanks again.
