Lost My job and low insurance policy

What is the name of your state?Ny
I was hit buy a cab in the rear. I went back to work after surgery and was fired.As of now i have won a default judgement against the cab company.The insurance limit is 100k .Can i collect more from the insurance company of the cab as the cab company did not show up in court and i served the insurance company with the action? Can i also collect my own over/under insuried poilcy?

the carrier is only obligated to pay the policy limit. Did you ever serve the cab company with your lawsuit?

serve the cab

ny yes i served the cab but they did not show in court so iwon a default judgement
