made a mistake

Ontario, Canada

My fiance who i've been with for nearly 3 years just found out from a company that she used to work for that GMAC financing was trying to get a hold of her.

The deal is that she bought a truck with her ex-boyfriend under duress as a co-signer and she hasn't seen him/or truck, for over two years. The lease is a five year deal and it was just coming to a close and he has now cancelled the insurance, skipped payments and is knowhere to be found. They say if they can't find him "they're coming after" her. I would like to know where she stands in this situation.

Any loopholes or escape from a lease. They would like to repossess which is no matter to us but we are worried that he is in another province. What will come of us if they can't track him down?

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks
