WHAT IS THE STATUTE OF LIMITATIONS IN KY? I HAVE NERVE DAMAGE IN MY LEG AND BACK FROM POSITIONING DURING LABOR AND DELIVERY OF MY CHILD. THIS HAPPENED 2 YEARS AGO, BUT I WAS GIVEN HOPE THEN THAT IT WOULD GET BETTER. NOW A NUEROLOGIST IS TELLING ME THAT IT IS PERMANENT. I HAVE PAIN EVERY DAY, AND THE MD THINKS IT WILL BE WORSE WHEN I GET OLDER.

Dear Baysorej;

If you are considering filing suit for your stated allegations, forget it! Unfortunately, you are suffering from a very common disorder related to your pregnancy. As the fetus grows, more and more pressure is put on the nerves in your lower back, and particularly the sciatic nerve. Your contention that you were "positioned wrong during labor and delivery" would be extremely difficult, if not impossible to prove.

Find a good anesthesiologist who specializes in pain and get a couple of epidural steroid injections. You'll feel better in no time!

Good Luck!

Pam
