Maryland,USA. My husband had an anterior spinal fusion done in May.He was told he was not a good candidate for cadaver bone placement due to being a smoker. He was told and consented to a titanium bak cage fusion. It has now been proven the neurologist used the cadaver bone anyway. We have been lied to by the neurosurgeon for the past 5 months. He has blatently explained and pointed to the fusion in ex-rays saying the "cage" looks good.He now has to have posterior fusion done to even the area out where the bone was wedged in.What are our legal rights? Is there anything we can do to expose this doctor for the lies that were exceedingly told?I know we can make a formal complaint to the state medical board and we intend to do so.We are waiting for op-forms to be sent from the hospital. We feel we have been victimized.Sincerely stunned,Shorty
