What is the name of your state? Tennessee

I was involved in a rear end accident several months ago. Insurance has paid my medical bills to the doctors. Will the other party's insurance automatically contact me to do a final settlement on any future medicals and pain and suffering. Should i retain an attorney and sue them for this instead of waiting for them. I had injuries to my neck, back and hips. I am self employed and cannot afford heath insurance and it is too expensive to go to the doctor so i live with the pain.
