We pulled over and took down each others information, I even had a witness but did not make a police report since it was on private property. I called my insurance company made a claim and contacted the party's insurance to make a statement, but its been two weeks now and I'm a bit concerned. I was told by the other party's insurer that she has not submit her statement so they cant do anything until she does. They also said they "tried calling and mailing her letters." My question is how long should I wait before I take further actions because arent people suppose to take care of this within 30 days? Should I take any precautions? I just want to fix the damages on my car thats all...What is the name of your state? |
Since they are waiting on their insured, you need to file the claim with your carrier, and pay the deductible to get your vehicle repaired. Your carrier will then ask for reimbursement from the other carrier, and, when they get reimbursed, they will give you your deductible.
