In Florida.. My husband was at fault in an accident if he caused more damage than we have insurance to pay for can we be sued even if we do not have any assets? Can our wages be garnished? Can we be forced to pay overtime? Will we still be able to purchase a home before we pay for those damages?

Yes, you can be sued if your insurance coverage does not cover the damage. If the plaintiff in the suits wins, you could have your wages garnished and you could have your bank accounts attached. And as long as the judgement is shown on your credit report, it will most likely have a negative effect on your efforts to purchase a home.
