I left a post yesterday concerning some other questions I had, now I have more. We have not spoken to a lawyer yet, we have an appt next week. I live in PA and my husband and I are being sued for a DUI my husband had 2 years ago. He hit someone, and now they are suing us. We havent heard anything from this person until now. At the time of the accicdent my husband asked about him, and hospital personnel said he was already discharged, within a couple hours, but now 2 years later he is saying he has all this stuff wrong with him and is suing us for a sum of money. We have no money, we have a lot of debts, live paycheck to paycheck, we own our own home, but due to some financial problems we had trouble with our mortgage, but now have no equity. We are a family of four, soon to be five, and my husband is the sole income that we have. We are thinking this person is just out for the money, but we have none. What could happen if we are found guilty, but we dont have any money to give? We just found all this out yesterday and it is just consuming us. I also had another question from yesterday about how I am being sued and I wasnt even there, I guess just because I am co-owner of the car. Anyway, thank you in advance if anyone can give me any feedback.
