A couple of months ago I was riding my motorcyle on the highway when a vehicle changed lanes into my lane and struck me from the side. According to police report the other vehicle is at fault, his insurance now also accepts liability and is asking to settle. I've got to get my motocycle looked at first then we'll move on. I had my protective gear damaged along with some road rash that has left scars. Before accepting any amount I need to know what I'm entitled to be compensated for. Can I ask for replacement of gear and compensation for scars, pain & suffering?
