motorcycle accident no insurance

What is the name of your state? CA

I financed a motorcyle and tried to get some quotes for motorcycle insurance with only a motorcycle permit but the agents were saying I had to have a motorcycle license. I rode it for a while without insurance, so on 10/6/06 i had an accident on the motorcycle which was my fault and the bike hit a car and caused damage to his vehicle. No one was injured except for myself. 911 was called and the police came and made a police report and gave me a citation for no proof of financial responsibilty. What consequences will I be facing for not having insurance? What do i do about the other person's car? I need lots of advice on how to tackle this situation, thank you.

You will be responsible for your vehicle's damages and the other vehicle's damages. Your medical insurance will probably pay for your injuries if you can send them proof that you don't have auto insurance. If your motorcycle is not repairable, you will still owe the loan. And you'll have to pay the ticket, and your license will probably be suspended since CA is pretty strict about driving without insurance.

Possible I suppose(in the sense that ANYTHING is possible), but highly unlikely. It's not the bank's fault that you didn't have the insurance that I'm sure your loan REQUIRED you to carry.

From what I've read about California on here, it's pretty sure. Carl is a CA police officer, if he's around maybe he can tell you more definitely. But you might be able to get a work/school exception on the suspension.
