MVA-denied for nonpermissive use

What is the name of your state? PA

My husband was killed in an accident when a man driving a "borrowed" car hit him head-on. The owners say the man did not have their permission, but the primary driver of the car, their daughter, left her keys with him and took his car. She says she was borrowing his car, but he was not to drive hers. My lawyer says we will probably not win, but was bothered by the fact that the insurance company did pay the the car loan off for the owners. Was this appropriate if they are denying coverage? I am waiting for him to look into it, but am looking for some answers on my own.
