My car rolled and hit another car in a parking lot.

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Minnesota.
I was at the library studying and my car rolled, even though the emergency brake was on and hit another car. The police were not called and both parties agreed there was a dent with some white marks around it that was cause dby my car. This car already had a huge dent in the back door before my car hit it, both parties stated it was no big deal. The other driver has since taken her car to have an estimate done and is claiming there is more damage on the back door, where the dent already was. She is stating this was done by my car. I have asked her to get 2 seperate estimates and I will pay for the dent on the front door but nothing else until I see her car. Can I fight her claim my car caused this damage? I am just very skeptical in cases like these where some people try to get more money that what it is worth. Just to let you know the mentality of her, she tried to talk me into suing my car company so I could make some money and she also wants me to go through my insurance company so it will all be paid for. Can anyone help me out please?

You are responsible for the damages caused by your negligence in not securing your vehicle.

Thank you zinger. I understand I am responsible, my question is when what exactly am I responsible for. We both agreed it caused a dent and some white marks, now she is bringig in more damages that my car did not cause. Do I have a right to refuse to pay for those? If I do can she sue me?

No and yes. It might be time to let your insurance company deal with the dent.

Old damage should be discernible from new damage.
See what she brings in for other estimates.

Turn it over to your insurance company, this is what you pay them for.
