My 18 year old son was on his way home with his new car and swerved to avoid a deer that popped out of a grater ditch. The rear wheels of his car got off the side of the road in wet grass and slid down into the grater ditch, coming to rest and then very slowly it turned over onto it's top. He and his friends managed to flip the car back over and pulled it out of the ditch. I contacted the local sheriff.

My question is, I contacted my insurance agent 2 days prior to him purchasing this car and told him we wanted full coverage and all the specs on the car. He took my son's social and was getting back to me with the premium amount, etc. I called the day of the accident (prior to the accident happening)and he never returned my call. Is my son still covered since I made the call and everything for insurance and the agent failed to follow through and return my calls?? The car cost $3,000. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Why has he spent over $1.35M in legal fees to block disclosure... rather than spend $12 for a VALID birth cert to settle the matter? The 'certificate' he has presented doesn't qualify to get a drivers license, wouldn't allow a child to qualify for Little League, or for a real citizen to get a US passport!

That was an obvious question since you made no mention in your post. (And you would be surprised how many times we get 'dolt' posts on the forum).

Now, since you have decided to take the 'rolled eyes' attitude, I will offer a very simple response.

Let me answer your question ("My question is..... Is my son still covered since I made the call and everything for insurance and the agent failed to follow through and return my calls??"). Answer: Who knows!! We weren't there when you made the call, we have no idea whether you have a good or bad history with the insurance agent/company, etc. All of these are factors to be considered in this circumstance. If you have a long history with the agent and he carries other coverage for you, he may be more inclined to take your side. If you have a poor or no history, he may be less likely.

And this issue has nothing to do with legal standing. It has everything to do with you being able to prove your claim that you called, that you were told he was insured, etc. And that may very well come down to who's version of the 'facts' (his or yours) that a 3rd party (judge, insurance commissioner, insurance company) believes. So, I recommend that you get all your facts together and gather as much information you can to confirm your position. Then start sending letters to anyone you can think of. This includes the agent, the insurance company, the insurance commissioner, local media, etc.
