My son lied to a judge ...

What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? I live in central California.

I cannot believe the mess my son of 22 years has gotten himself into. First off, he went before a judge about a speeding ticket and no valid insurance. He should have just said " Sorry, no insurance."

Should have.

Instead, he produced a forged insurance card for Allstate Insurance and tried to pass that off as legit to the judge. The judge had been prewarned of such a forged document by the insurance company. They were just hoping to find out who had the card.

Then he lied about knowledge of the girl that had actually forged the document, who at present in under investigation for fraud.

He then told the judge that he would present "real" Auto insurance by next Wednesday. He has no insurance.

Also, I am beginning to wonder about his overal brain capcity as well.

Any advice at all on this matteer in a timely fashion would be greatly appreciated.

I haven't a clue on what he should do next other than getr a lawyer, which he can't afford.

CHILDREN!!!!

From an exasperated father.

I know what you mean, I have a daughter going to college and the car is in our name. She gets a parking ticket (meter expired) and doesn't pay it on time, then we get threatened with a warrant, wage garnishment, etc...if we don't pay it by a certain date. Of course, we pay it, but geeze!

Of course your son has a much more serious problem. Maybe you need to let him ride this one out and learn from it. Does he feel he needs a lawyer or is he clueless? What does he plan to do on Wednesday?

The Judge probably has seen others trying to pull this stunt and knows your son doesn't have it. He should go with a lawyer and see what the lawyer can do for him.

You story doesn't add up. The insurance company doesn't call the judge, no way. Are you sure your not confusing it with the prosecuter.

Attorney b cut

As soon as my son handed the fraudulent insurance card to the baliff, the judge started looking through some papaerwork. My son realized right away that something was very wrong and he started to stress out. The judge told him that Allstate had no such poicy number and also informed him that his girlfriend was under investigation for fraud because of this policy with Allstate Insurance. The insurance company may not have contacted him directly, but he knew of the matter beforehand. There was no Prosecuter in the court room. My son stood before a Judge with a baliff and court reporter.
