need advice

What is the name of your state? Hawaii

Hi everyone. i was involved in an accident about 2 months ago . me and my 2 friends rode with a guy my friend knew.but i didnt even know him for a month. that whole night he was speeding like crazy and i kept telling him a numerous times to slow down and not speed. instead he keeps doing it. he was speeding and i told him to slow down and asked if he knew the rode but he just kept quiet and went for it. then we finally crashed into a guardrail. unfortunately i was left with a broken shoulder (went for an X-ray but no bones broken) , gash on my chest which is now a scar ,broken ankle, and glass in my palm which left scars also. its been 2 months and my ankle hasnt fully healed . my shoulder still hurts and i cant even lift anything heavy like i used to. i used to bodybuild and now i cant.my back is also killing me .i sometimes have pain in my neck and my hips. im also left with paranoia everytime i ride in the passenger seat. the insurance company hasnt been checking up on me and so is the driver.only thing they did was send me a letter saying i can go to a chiropractor. and now heres the problem . 5 or 10 years from now will i be ok? is it a guareentee? i want to be on a safe side so i wont be left with medical bills in the future due to the accident and i have to suffer because of the stupidity of the driver. from what im hearing hes doing very well and he bought another car and wants to race it again. it seems like he hasnt learned from the accident. what can i do? thanks in advance

There's no win or lose. You were involved in an accident, and you are injured. The attorney will help to make sure that, if the driver was insured, your medical bills will be paid. However, I have no idea if the driver has enough insurance to pay for them. But, the attorney can help you get your situation taken care of better than any person in the internet. You are looking for a personal injury attorney.

Okay, I understand that. However, the minimum amount of liability in HI is $20k. If the driver only has that amount of insurance coverage, then that's all the insurance company is going to pay REGARDLESS of the extent of your injuries. If that's all the driver bought, that's all the insurance company will pay. However, if the driver was responsible and purchased more coverage, then an attorney may be able to get more money for you. The money will initially go towards the medical, and if there is anything left, you MAY be able to receive some compensation for pain and suffering. However, I don't know what the driver has. I don't know if you will win a lawsuit. I don't have a crystal ball.

But, if you contact an attorney, they can help you.
