need info before I call my Insurance company

What is the name of your state? Indiana.. In February '07 thru June "07 a 22 year old friend Daniel from Switzerland will be doing an internship at Indiana University, Bloomington. He was going to rent a car but the cost is prohibitive for him. He thought to buy a car to use while he's here for the duration and then sell it but he can"t qualify for IN residency to title/plate it. So we thought that he could use one of our cars for that time. One thing is that Daniel will never be living with us as we live in Portage which is about 4 hours from Bloomington so the car will be with him there. The car that he will be using has liability coverage only. What I need to know is do I have to have Daniel stated on our policy for him to use the car and if there is anything else I need to know about doing this. Blessings to whomever helps Thanks CherWhat is the name of your state?

Unless Daniel has an international license or a US license, he may not be able to be added to your policy. You NEED to contact your agent with any and all concerns if you'd like Daniel to be covered by your insurance policy at all. Otherwise, he needs to shop around for insurance. Progressive comes to mind. It won't be cheap by anyone's imagination. Period.
