Hello, I need some advice on what I should do. In the summer of 2003 I was involved in a car accident as a passenger of a car that was hit by another. I suffered some injuries including a long term injury in which I suffer from major headaches and migraines. When I went to the energency room and a checkup doctors visit two weeks later, I was told these migraines/headaches were as of a result of the accident. While I have been seeing doctors for the past year and a half, the inshurence agency for the cars involved in this accident have not been helpful with me about this. I've been unable to go to a specialist or to get a MRI of my head, something all of my doctors have demanded I get, cause I cannot afford it and the inshurence company for the drivers involved has not responded to my pleas for help. While I received a small bit of money just after the accident to cover some of my pain and suffering, I never signed any wavers in the case cause of the long term injuries were still a issue. I have been told that the statue of limitations in these issues are two years, and Im worried that with that deadline coming up this summer, I have very little time to do something.

This whole issue has caused major depression, has in many ways destroyed my life, and has caused me great personal stress. Im looking for advice as to what to do next, especially in a legal sence since I really don't know what to do. Many people have told me its time to get a lawyer so that I can get the help I need, especially since the pain is still great and that it has made it impossible for me to work and has caused me to lose many job oppurtunities that I had worked so hard to get through college which I just graduated from not to long after the accident. If anyone can give me some advice on what to do it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Headaches are VERY hard to assess to be a direct result of a car accident, especially claims of long term injury.

If you intend to press this issue, you are going to need to get a competent personal injury attorney. He/she can not only assist in your claim, but can also arrange for you to get the proper treatment.... with the medical bills to be paid on settlement.

Advice: Get an attorney.

You're going to have a hard time proving that these headaches are the result of the accident. If you really intend to pursue this, you need to get a PI attorney asap.
