| I was involved in a minor auto accident in the state of Maryland. I had stopped at a stop sign, looked both directions, determined it was safe and then proceeded through into a merging lane, in which I accelerated to match the speed of oncoming traffic. During the last process, the other person involved had pulled out of an illegal parking space to the right of me and I collided with her vehicle. Her driver side and my passenger side were damaged. There were no witnesses. Neither her or my insurance paid for her damages. Now, she is claiming that had run the stop sign, therefore making me the negligent driver and solely responsible for the accident. I question her case because if she HAD saw me run a stop sign, why did she pull out in front of me? Does she have a case? Thanks for your input. |
