negligent driving

What is the name of your state? Washington
I fell asleep and ran off the road after having only 4 hours sleep between shifts at work and got a neg driving The only info I can find talks about being under the influence of alcohol or drugs. This was not so in my case.

1) You were negligent by falling asleep - you shouldn't drive when you are so tired that you fall asleep at the wheel.

2) You didn't ask a question.

My question is would it be worth it to try to talk to a judge and explain that I really didn't realize I was THAT tired or just pay the fine.

Impossible to tell. Can't hurt to try.

Either way, you are going to pay the fine. No judge is going to tolerate a statement such as "I was tired" as their reason for being cited for negligent driving.
