No insurance - Guilty plea

New York State

About two months ago i was stopped during a routine rode block in my small town in new york and i had no insurance at the time. I was given a ticket for no valid insurance. I knew i was guilty and just wanted to get it over with so i pleaded guilty and mailed the form in. I had no clue that when i did this i would have a mandatory revocation for 1 year. So now i get this letter from the DMV stating this and a 750 dollar civil fine. Is there anything i can do about this now or is it pretty much over and done?

Thanks in advance

Richard

No. There's nothing that you can do. The DMV's are online with the insurance companies in your state, anyway, so pleading not guilty would have simply delayed the revocation.

No insurance - Guilty plea Mo Info

Well as it stands at the time i had been pulled over i wasn't registered with the state of NY. And i did not have insurance on the car for years since i rarely drive due to being in the navy. Also at the time i didn't have a NY state drivers license rather a VA one. I posted a comment to a lawyer and he states that he thinks going with a plea to the court to vacate my original charge might give me a chance and bargain with the prosecutors. Otherwise i don't think there was any electronic communication going on with NYS.

Does this change my case at all? Is there new hope with this now?

No. The time to speak to a lawyer would have been BEFORE YOU plead guilty.
