Not my fault

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? IL
Hi,
I met with a car accident last Monday. The accident occured becox of the other car driver's fault and the police told me that he has given points to her.
My car has been damaged and the other car driver's insurance company says that it is my fault and ignored my claim.Now,i filed claim with my car insurance.I am in IL. Can anyone say me how can I get my car damage money back from the other driver's insurance company.Do I have to hire a lawyer?Can I goto small court ?
How long the accident will be in my record? Will this accodent impact my creidt hitory ???
Please advice...I am worried now as i have to shell money out of my pocket becox of other person's fault.
God pays that person ...

File a small claims action against the other driver (not her insurance company). Her insurance will then provide legal counsel for HER... and you proceed to court.

The accident will be 'on your record' pretty much as long as you are in that state. However, it will not impact insurance, etc. after about 3 years (most states).

Only if your credit history is involved somehow.

BTW, the fact that the other driver was cited or given 'points' does NOT prove that you were not at fault.

There are at least 17 lawsuits (!!) pending in various courts, including the US Supreme Court, asking if Obama is a natural born citizen (as req'd by Art II, Sec 1 of the US Constitution).

Why has he spent over $1.35M in legal fees to block disclosure... rather than spend $12 for a VALID birth cert to settle the matter? The 'certificate' he has presented doesn't qualify to get a drivers license, wouldn't allow a child to qualify for Little League, or for a real citizen to get a US passport!

Describe what happened in the accident, and try to use actual english words.

Lawsuits are not about justice. They are about MONEY. If you don't want money, then you shouldn't be thinking about suing. And people post here because they are thinking about suing. Because they want money, no matter how much they don't want to admit that to themselves.
