What is the name of your state? Indiana.

I was recently in an automobile accident where the other person was at fault. That person's insurance company, Nationwide, has informed me that legally they may use aftermarket parts or used (salvage) parts to repair my car even though I have insisted that they use OEM parts for proper fit. ( Aftermarket parts are notorious for not fitting properly.) I was given conflicting answers about the details of this law. One answer said that insurance companies may use parts from any source for vehicles 5 years older than the current model year. My car is a '96.

Is this true? Can someone please provide a link so I can read the law myself?

Any help greatly appreciated.
