What is the name of your state? OH

Incident happend on Oct 4th.

My mini-van (parked in our apartment parking lot ) got hit
by another car and the driver backed out and parked elsewhere
on the same lot.

I happened to witness that and called police. Police found the owner and driver ( different persons ).

I got the police report and initiated the claim process with the other vehicle owner's insurance firm.

After 2 weeks they still seem to be dragging the claim.

1) They say that the their insured person denied doing anything.

2) They say that police report has been requested and saying that it takes over 2 weeks (?)

3) They took pictures of my van but did not take the pictures of their insured vehicle which was parked two spaces away on that day.
Now they say that still they need to schedule appointment with
their insured.

Just Speculation :
What if they take long time ( or show no interest in this claim ) ?

What if they refuse the claim and say that they did not receive any police report or report does not show fault ?
(BTW: The report has clear description of the case and OFFENSE DESCRIPTION ).

Since this is my first claim process, I am looking for advice !

Thanks in advance.
