we live in texas. while backing out of a parking space, my daughter hit a vehicle passing by. police were not called to the scene. i wish to resolve this situation out-of-pocket vs filing an insurance claim for fear of cancelation. i want to do what is right, but i feal the damands of other party are excessive. what are my legal responsibilities regarding a parking lot accident?
