Pedestrian Hit by a car

What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? New Jersey

On January 20th 2004 i was hit by a car. The person standing on my left side was hit indirectly and suffered injuries as well. From the police report two witnesses said that our light was green, that we were crossing on the crosswalk, and that the car plowed right into us without warning. I suffered a concussion, ruptured disc, shoulder pain, jaw pain, and a swollen bruised ankle. I have a lawyer and I've been to doctor after doctor for treatment for the last year. My lawyer always sounds so ambivilent towards me asking if I will get anything for my injuries except for payment of my medical expenses. He also points out because of my insurance PIP that I may not have any grounds to sue if the insurance company doesn't offer me a settlement. Also, three months prior to getting hit I was involved in a really bad car accident, but I walked out of the car, recieved no injuries, and had no follow up doctors visits. I am afraid the insurance company is going to use this against me. Should I look for other council? Its been almost a year and a half, I've moved and I'm in college and I just wish i could just move on already.

They may consider your entire medical history in a lawsuit to mitigate their damages.
