Pennsylvania Law

What is the name of your state? PA


I'm looking for some information regarding who is responsibile for minors involved in auto accident. I was the victum. Hit by a minor, 17 years of age driving mothers car. Any websites which may have this information would be great.

Turn this over to your insurance.
Or, sue both of the bad people for your actual damages.

have a lawyer

My lawyer is say that i can't hold the mother responsible because of such and such.... and if we did i couldn't attach her house because her and her husband own it. I don't know what to do. I have 157K + of medical bills a surgery in June. Mother only had 50k worth of nsurance.

Any advise or suggestions?? My lawyer is saying settle with what the insurance Co. is offering. I'm no so sure. If i settle i will be left holding the rest of the medical bill bag... as well as future expenses. i don't have medical insurance!

Take your lawyer's advice. If lawyer says you can't go after the mom's assets, he is most likely correct. The driver is the one who damaged you but I'm sure he has no assets. If you have underinsured motorist coverage on your own insurance, you can claim for that. You will not be able to garnish the driver's wages and he probably doesn't own anything you can attach. If you want to get a judgement against the kid, that will involve spending A LOT more money to go to court to get a judgement you might never collect on, and if you do it won't be for a very long time. It's not a cost effective move.
