permanent injury/what are my rights?Fla.

What is the name of your state? florida
My policy reads 50,000 bodily 100,000 each accident. Ins. says I can only recover 50,000. and I have permanet injuries. how can that money make me whole again? Is there more than that to recover? Even though I settled with the liablity and can't get money there, why can't i sue for my living ,loss of business and future care, pain and suffering. $50,000 can't take care of me. Does my insurance have a right to sue the other insurance for more money? Gotta be money somewhere. Am I missing something?

2- is fla. statue for contract of uim 5 years or 4 yrs. I'm told that uim is 5 years.

Because you only paid for $50K in coverage. If you had paid for more coverage you would have had more money to recover.

Does the other party have insurance?
