can a lawsuit be placed against a water park in New York because of an injury which developed to permanent damage on shoulder, needing surgery for it and ruining a career opportunity, even though the injury happened almost 4yrs. ago?

My response:

The Statute of Limitations in New York for personal injury is 3 years from the date of the accident. So, it's all over. You are now forever barred from suing for this injury.

Assuming that you could bring an action today, it is highly unlikely that you'd prevail anyway.
