My 14 year old niece was given the wrong drug by the pharmacy. She was supposed to be getting something for her stomach, instead was given something for alziemers disease. The bottle obviously came off the shelf, still sealed from the manufacturer. On one side of the bottle was the manufacturer label and the other side was the pharmacy label. Two different drug names, similar but different. It was defintely error on the pharmacist. She was taking it for abot 5 days. She started to hallucinate, get bad headaches, and could not stay awake, finally her mother showed the prescription to a nurse friend and was informed of what she was taking. What can they do about this? Her mother thought the difference in names was one being generic and the other manufacturer name.WE live In New York
