I reside in CA.

So I drove a commercial Isuzu NPR boxtruck into a retail store's parking structure and yes, we got stuck. The firemen had to cut the 'box" down before they could push our truck back out.

The height clearance sign in this parking lot is HIDDEN. One cannot see the sign until he has completely driven into the garage!!

They do have a sign outside the entrance that says: "RENTAL TRUCKS" with an arror pointing away but because I own this truck (it's not a rental) I ignored the sign. I feel this sign is very misleading.

Yes I should have driven with more caution but do I have a case against the retail store for damages caused to my truck?

Any information or help is appreciated. Thank you so much!!

John
