Can the police stop you in Massachusetts for no reason other then that they suspected or knew that your drivers license was surspended? do they have the right when they are booking you to tell you that they have obtained all sorts of personal information about you just becuase they wanted to be informed? One of the facts stated was that license plates had been run 16 times even though you had no criminal record and only a few tickets in the 12 years you had been driving. This was all done in your home town.

I am a law school graduate. What I offer is mere information, not to be construed as forming an attorney client relationship.

Yes they can stop you if they knew your driver's license was suspended. That is a good reason to stop someone.

They can run searches if they want to see if the person they got for driving with a suspended license is wanted for anything, etc.
