Police wrote no ticket, but???

What is the name of your state? Wisconsin

I was in an accident where a woman ran a red light and we collided. There were three witnesses, 2 said she ran the red and one said I did. The witness that said I did was at the light in a big SUV, I passed him on the right as I went throught the green light. His wife was in the SUV with him. The light did change to green as I passed him. One of my witnesses was standing the corner and said the woman ran the red. My other witness said he had just pulled out of the gas station (heading the other way of the women who ran the red), the station was maybe 80 yds to the light. He says in the police report he turned out of the station and saw the light was red, about 1-3 seconds later he saw the womans car come through the light and hit my car.

The womans witness said in the report that I was turning right, but changed that when the officer told him that everyone else indicated I was going straight. He also did not stay at the seen.

No tickets were written. I did not have collision insurance and the womans company denied my claim and are now trying to come after me for fixing her car. What should I do?????? I DIDN"T HAVE INSURANCE AT THE TIME OF THE ACCIDENT. I did get it a couple of days later but would not have had "collision" insurance. Should I still try to have my insurance handle it.???

Yeah, why did you not report the accident to your insurance carrier?

Didn't have insurance that day...

Believe it or not I was supposed to sign for my insurance the day before but was unable to. I did get it a couple of days later, 2 to be exact. But would not have had collision insurance anyway. Should I still go through mine? Won't my rates go up considerably? I really just want to get my car fixed....HELP!

Since you had no insurance at the time the accident occurred, it would be moot to file a claim through your own carrier.
